I've spent many hours recently designing and weaving my own clothes - and what's more, I even wear them! I find that cotton - which I can easily dye to any colours I need - is more comfortable on my skin than wool, though I do mix in other fibres too.

This has also given me the chance to learn about my rigid heddle loom, and its amazing versatility.
