I made these small applique landscapes during a year spent in Ghana, using the local batik fabrics and scraps of my old clothes. Over the months the landscape became drier and drier, losing its vibrant colours, as we waited for the rains to come.

 

I felt that I was 'painting' the changing landscape with these images.
